I Want To...

...live in one of these.

If the Tanner family lived in one of these, why shouldn't I?

You Dare?

If you dare ask me what I want for my birthday, I would simply answer:

plane tickets.

San Fransisco, New York, Alaska, Europe, Australia? Whichever, I'm in.

Pink-ish

Last Sunday was the wedding day of two of my beloved friend who also happens to be my senior in college. They were like the "it" couple of the campus and the architecture department. They hold a special place in everyone's heart, I guess, judging from the guests of their wedding which is mainly their friends and close relatives. I could almost see everyone "famous" from my college during their college years.

I'm wearing a pink kebaya and jarik, traditional Javanese costume. It was a "uniform" for couple of juniors, while their classmates wear green and fruity color kebaya also. It turned out to be very very lovely. The color selection turned out to be very pretty and fresh, though at first I thought it would be very noisy in terms of color. They blend very nicely. The decoration was beautiful, with blooming flowers, trees, and porch like decoration makes you feel rather outdoor than indoor. The ceremony itself was very quick and serene.

Here's some pictures :)

May God bless your wedding, Maya & Ezra.

The Sweetest Thing

Went to Kina Grannis live and up-close show yesterday. As I predicted, she was the sweetest person I've ever watched perform live. She perfectly played her setlist. It was flawless. She sounded just like when you watched her on youtube or listen to her CD. I was blown away.

She was very engaging with the audience too, even when she had to multitask with tuning her guitar in between songs. The funny thing when a random guy in the audience -who seems to have a huge crush on her- asked her to be his girlfriend, for 5 seconds only, she okay-ed it and while tuning her guitar still managed to say "this was a wonderful relationship", and all the audience laughed.

Oh yea, though a couple post ago I thought I couldn't watch her performance, turns out the schedule was pretty much fine and so I excitedly bought meet and greet tickets based on "I think she would be a very humble and sweet person. I want to meet her". And so after the show, I got to go backstage, have a little chat which I forgot what did I said back there when I met her. All I remember is that, I made her a pompom necklace from which I spent the night before staying up late, and when I gave it to her she was "oh this is very sweet" and she didn't mind wearing it. *grin* I hope to see it someday in one of her videos. Oh and I took pictures with her using my instant camera, and she was super sweet hugging every one and all.

About the songs, I kind of got caught up with the performance and I forgot the order of the songs she played, but this is what I managed to recover from my memory.

Birthday Thingy

I've always been excited for my own birthdays,-- well also for particular persons too--. And usually this excitement starts since the start of the year. Since my birthday is on April, I assume a 4 month gap between the new year and my birthday would be a short time.  I don't really understand why, but it has always been like that.

In that 4 months gap, I am thinking about what presents I want to get, what present(s) I want to buy for myself, what day is my birthday -is it weekday or weekends-, does it fall on lent month (since it usually is), how would I want to spend the day, with whom I would like to celebrate it, and so on and so on. It could be a never-ending list of things I had thought about.

This year, I did make a list. It's much simpler though, I only made list on presents. Got a few things on the list, but fortunately, I already cross a few because it had been "achieved" even before my birthday. Probably it's a sign that I should continue the list, who knows it would all be achieved until my birthday. Ha Ha. I wish.

the adams on stage

Anyways, I just got back from a small music festival called 2nd Music Gallery. It features mostly upcoming and also indie bands from Indonesia. There are 2 performance I wanted to watched, it was The Trees and The Wild and The Adams. Watched them both.

The Trees and The Wild was below expectation. I think it is because of one of the guitarist is not playing but substituted. The substitute player did a good job though, and the "back-up" singer has a really great voice, pitch, and that twisted tone which is very suitable for the Indonesian-folk-inspired music they're doing.

I havent really watched The Adams before, live, so this was my first time. They hadn't played much for a while also so I had only listen to their songs from records. But it was a nice performance, very calm, and for me their weezer-kind-of-tune always finds a way on giving warmth to the heart. Uh yeah.

Cheering Pom Poms

Latest boredom//sadness killer.

Yesterday, I went home pretty earlier cause I thought I'd rather finish work at home since the pc is more convenient at home. Arriving home happy, refreshing with some new episode of favorite tv series and ready to get down to work.

Until I left my flash-drive attached at the office computer.

I got so bummed, and decided to make pom poms, inspired by the vamoose, whose creation is adorably lovely. I worked on this pom poms until quite late and find myself very happy after finishing one. Need some more practice to perfect the flow.

Now I am really sure, crafting turns my mood downside up :)
